I am excited to be getting involved with Kabissa here on Bainbridge Island. The future from here looks very promising for Kabissa. I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, West Africa from 1996 to 1998. I lived in the village of Lougue, a small village in the Department of Podor. There I worked to improve childhood and maternal healthcare by creating health education programs and raising funds to build a Maternity Clinic. I also have a masters in International Development from The American University in Washington, D.C..
Currently, I live on Bainbridge Island with my husband and two children. My husband was a Peace Corps volunteer in the Ivory Coast. We can't wait for our children to get to an age that we can take them to see the Africa we know and love!
