Details

Mary Kay graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Journalism and Public Relations. She then worked for 17 years in publishing and graphic design. Her professional experience also includes event planning and coordination. She served for 3 years as a founding Board member and Vice President for KiDiMu, the children's museum on Bainbridge Island. She is an artist and printmaker and continues to help small businesses and non-profits with design and marketing on a limited basis. For many years Africa has captured her imagination, and her interest in Kabissa grew out of a few friendships and the hope of creating meaningful global connections from a little island on Puget Sound.
