Established international NGOs were well represented at the GRI conference in Amsterdam last week and presumably also in the production of the new NGO Sector Supplement. There is no reason not to see Kabissa members at the grassroots look into and join the GRI process, and also consider integrating sustainability reporting into your own organizational procedures no matter what your size.

The Association for Progressive Communications (APC) is developing an action research network focused on ICTs & Environmental Sustainability. The initiative builds on work in this area that has been undertaken by APC and its member organisations in the last few years.

The objective of the action research network is to generate the research needed to create new tools and resources for a campaign that can transform the ICT for development community into leaders of an emerging movement of environmentally conscious ICT use.

Web 2.0, social media, online communities are all about communicating and collaborating with each other irrespective of time and space. The technology is available so how do we use it to benefit ourselves, out communities and communities far away?
