Thank you so much for your responses to our call for Creative Content.  We have had interest from artists in many different countries.  We're really excited.

We also are moving forward with our fundraising and outreach efforts.  Don't worry, we are not asking for a donation!!!  However, we would appreciate 20-seconds of your time, not for our sake, but the number of creative communities at the local level that we are excited to bring into the development agenda for women's health.

I'm developing a new project in collaboration with various international agencies and artists that blends the creative world with the humanitarian world around the issue of women/motherhood/maternal health.

Global Advances takes a look at superstar musicians and underground artists using the web and music to spread their message and make the world a better place. 

There are so many different technologies and activities which can be used for activism and development. Radio, theater, internet, video and music. CMFD- Community Media & Development have a programme called Music for Social Change which is used to highlight social issues such as HIV/AIDS, using condoms, gender violence and so on.

World famous Senegalese musician, Youssour N'dour has founded an organization called Brima to help small business start ups and support emerging musicians and artists - particularly women and youth.
