Registration for the fifth East Africa Telecentre Leaders Forum is now in progress. The event will take place in the Sudan's Gadaref City from 1st to 4th May 2008.

Registration fee is US$ 90 for Eastern African participants and US$ 150 for participants from other countries. Please contact the secretariat@ugabytes.org for details.

30 full board scholarships for accommodation and 15 for air tickets will be available for Eastern African participants for early registrants.

Announcing the next TED Africa!

We received the following by email today. The last TED in Arusha appears to have been quite impressive - and plenty of material is available still for catch up viewing.

Dear TEDizens,

We're delighted to tell you that there will be another TED conference in Africa next year and that we hope to make it an annual event on the continent!

TEDAfrica will be held in Cape Town, South Africa on September 29-October 1, 2008 (save the date!), and will follow the format of this year's event in Arusha, Tanzania.
