Handbook on creating your own IT Business in Africa

The handbook download is available for free at the ict@innovation website.

Time To Get Online wiki now available in French and Arabic
BY: Tobias Eigen DATE: 15 May, 2008 - 18:59Gisele Dovi of LEAD Togo, a stellar member of Kabissa's Web projects steering committee, has brought to my attention that the French and Arabic versions of the Kabissa Time To Get Online wiki were still behind a password and not publicly visible. The French and Arabic versions were never quite completed and edited, and we have ceased working on improvements to the wiki in any language. However we are proud of the material and much of it is still very useful for capacity building. I know of no reason why not to make all three language versions available.

Multigrade teaching
Dear All,
As an organisation working in the field of education I want to share some ideas on teaching and learning. Since several years I train teachers and trainers all over the world. For the moment I am on a consultancy in Mali where I conduct a pilot project on multigrade teaching.
Multigrade teaching is the way of teaching different grades in one classroom. Mali has a shortage of teahers and classrooms so multigrade is a temporary solution.
Together with my team I am developing teaching and learning materials for multigrade classes like:
IDLELO3: InWent launches multiyear open source training program in Africa
We are beginning to see a trickle of press releases, photos and outcomes from the IDLELO 3 conference taking place this week in Dakar (program in ODT format). I was encouraged by this big training program on open source software announced by the German InWent capacity building organization. I've been seeing alot of interesting InWent activities in Africa recently including with the One Laptop Per Child program.
