Improving Quality of Education in Cameroon - RUDEA's vision

The problem that exists in the Cameroonian education system especially in elementary and secondary education is the problem of quality teaching and that of quality learning. The basic problems in the elementary schools are related to language skills acquisition. Such skills include inability to write, spell, speak and understand. The writer has taught in secondary schools and in the teacher training college for close to 12 years and attests to the fact that students on entry to secondary school class cannot

HINT's IT Project selected as a finalist in the Stockholm Challenge awards 2008!

HINT IT project Rural Electrification And Communication Technology (REACT) has been selected as one of 145 finalists in the prestigious Stockholm challenge Award 2008 out of a total of over 2000 applicants from all over the world.

Under the project "Small Business Training for Women Using Radio Programs", PROTEGE QV has launched the Multimedia Resource Kit

In spite of their dynamism, the Cameroonian women who represent more than 51% of the total population and who are mostly operating small businesses remain in a precarious stage with regards to their various incomes generating activities. One of the major concerns of the Government expressed through the PRSP (poverty reduction strategy paper) is the reinforcement of the women's incomes. The current strategy of implementing the New Information and Communication current technology in several sectors can also be used to enable these women to evolve in their activities.
