The NGO Mobile competition is an annual competition open to NGOs from the Global South. The aim of the competition is to encourage NGOs to think of new ways of applying mobile technology to their work.

Ken Banks of Kiwanja.net who created the Frontline SMS software application has been directly involved with the project and competition.  This week Ken has produced a profile of each of the four winners, two of whom are from Africa - Uganda and Kenya.
