PAMONET (African Mobile Activists Network) has published a profile of 3 civil society organsiations and how they are using mobile phones for advocacy.
WOMEN OF UGANDA NETWORK (WOUGNET) - UGANDA used SMS messaging for a campaign around the 16 Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women. The campaign was run in collaboration with Women's Net, South Africa. ENVIRONMENTAL RIGHTS ACTION (ERA) - NIGERIA - in December 2007 launched an emergency "Green Phone Hotline" to record ecological and environmental disasters in the Niger Delta UNGANA-AFRIKA, SOUTH AFRICA undertook research into why Civil Society organisations should be using mobile phones for advocay work.
