Kabissa and Elizka Relief Foundation are organising a Kabissa Meetup to take place in Kumasi, Ghana on September 23, 2009.
A Kabissa meetup is a face-to-face gathering of Kabissa members in a local community, organised and hosted by a member organisation. The content of the meetup is open-ended and determined locally by participants according to their own needs and interests - not by Kabissa. Check out the Kabissa Meetups Guidelines for for more details.
If you are in or near Kumasi, please click here to apply now to participate in the upcoming meetup! We are seeking participants who have a demonstrable track record, seek local and global partnerships, and have compelling stories and experiences to share in an equitable exchange. A Seattle filmmaker, Zack Tucker Gangnes, will photograph and film the meetup and interview participants for a documentary that will help promote your work.
We are pleased that the Meetups are starting up again, and look forward to assisting more organisations across Africa to organise meetups in their local communities. We had designed the program last year but then had to put it on hold until we were able to relaunch our online platform that provides the groups and event planning functionality. If you are interested, please click here to join the Meetups group, read the guidelines and introduce yourself to the group.
