Kabissa is honored to have been invited to take a coveted place on Global Giving, an online marketplace that connects you to the causes and countries you care about. You select the projects you want to support, make a tax-deductible contribution, and get regular progress updates - so you can see your impact. To keep our place, we need to raise at least $4000 from at least 50 people by 15 August.
As a volunteer-driven network, Kabissa's costs are low but they are not nonexistent! The budget for our first project on Global Giving is $20,000, which will cover the basic costs of running the Kabissa network. If we win the challenge, we will use our Global Giving membership to propose and raise funds for further projects to make Kabissa even more useful as a network for people and organizations working in Africa. I am so pleased to see we are 20% of the way there on number of donors to Kabissa's @globalgiving project - as of today 11 donors and $490 in donations. Thank you so much!
We really need to get momentum to reach our goal so if you are able to make a donation, please do so as soon as possible.

It's good to see you're up to 36 donations on Aug 11, 2009 with only 4 days left. I know most people give once a year but Kabissa needs to pay the bills 12 months a year - so chip in. Every little bit helps.
