Description of ActivitesTHE FORUM OFFERS THE FOLLOWING SERVICES: • Coordination and promotion of ICT in the Country. • Training, skills development and Technical Support. • Capacity Building. • Employment Bureau. • Monitoring and Evaluation. • Information dissemination • Lobbying and advocacy • Arbitration and mediation • Research and consultancy • Recommendation for Trade documents i.e. visas, passports etc. Roles of the Forum • To foster unity and promote the welfare of the ICT community. • To enhance support and promote legislative or other measures, which affect Information and Communication Technology in the Country. • To promote and encourage training activities in fields of Information and Communication Technology. • To establish ICT newsrooms, libraries, information, research centres and other facilities for the exchange of information and acquisition of knowledge. • To organize and manage ICT exhibitions either on the Forum’s initiate or in collaboration with other organizations. • Putting in place a good extension network. • To collect and disseminate statistical and any other relevant information relating to Information and Communication Technology. • To provide facilitation for the study and research into Information and Communication Technology matters and making research results known through publication, electronic media and any other related media instrument.
