What goes into the newsletter?
The newsletter is organized into six sections, each devoted to one aspect of the information sharing African organizations are looking for at Kabissa. Typically we choose up to three or four items for each section and send a teaser and link to the full text of the item.1. Dear Mimi: Technology Advice Column
Hands on, practical advice on critical technology topics that you need to know about to enhance your organization's profile and activities online. Topics discussed include the internet, emails, lists, making podcasts, using mobile phones for advocacy and using social networking tools.
Have a burning technology question? Discovered a trick or skill that you'd like to share with the community? Send in your question or post it to the Kabissa blog!
NOTE: Dear Mimi will not answer specific questions on how to reset passwords, update your profiles and other specific Kabissa support issues. These should be directed to support at kabissa.org
2. Under the Baobab Tree: Announcements from Kabissa Members
What has been happening in your organisation this month?
Do you have news on new information about your organisations's activities, funding, problems you have had with a project, addition of a website, successes and event or participation in a workshop, conference or forum. Post your news, events and publications to the site or send it by email to community at kabissa.org.
3. Kabissa Matters
4. Opportunities Pot
Funding and grant opportunities, conferences and workshops, scholarships and courses relevant to African civil society.
5. TECHNOLOGY NEWS AND RESOURCES
Latest technology developments relevant to African civil society including tech programs, new web services, software, learning resources etc.
