Description of Activities
UGADEN is a national, nonprofit civil society organization involved in promoting agroforestry (growing of usefull trees on farms) in Uganda mainly through training, information dissemination, networking and advocacy. UGADEN provides linkage to over 310 organizations and institutions promoting agroforestry in Uganda. Its national secretariat is hosted by ICRAF-Uganda and is located in the capital city Kampala with twelve zonal centres spread throughout the twelve agro-ecological zones of the country. The National Secretariat is run by a National Coordinator with the assistance of an Agroforestry Development Facilitator and other support staff. Each of the zonal centres is run by a Zonal Coordinator.
