Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the launch of the Youth Employment in West Africa Databank on YEN’s website - www.ilo.org/yen. Our databank provides detailed information on over 300 organizations and the 450 projects they are implementing to tackle youth employment across West Africa.

The user-friendly databank is aimed at giving organizations in the sub-region an online presence that enhances their networking opportunities and facilitates information sharing. It also provides a useful starting point for stakeholders looking to design or support youth employment  projects as it provides information on activities already implemented in West Africa and the challenges faced by each organization. This databank therefore assists YEN’s efforts to bring together complementary stakeholders and create synergies.

What can you do on our online databank?
•  search for projects using the databank's advanced options
•  browse the databank based on the geographic location, area of intervention, target group, type of organization, approach to gender and main donors
•  download excel sheets with information on organizations that interest you
•  contact organizations that are of interest to you via the website

Many thanks to those of you who submitted information for our databank, please check your profile page and keep us updated with any changes. For those of you who are working in West Africa and would like to have your youth employment projects included when we update the database, please send us an email so we can send you our survey form.

We hope you will find the databank to be a useful tool and we welcome any feedback. Click here to visit the databank.

Best wishes,

The Team at YEN
