Youngstars Foundation International is identifying a generation of young Africans who can see the future and believe that they can change it for good through democracy, good leadership and governance. Democracy Series Participation Learning and Active Youth (DESPLAY), is the Youth Democracy Academy which has continued to reach hundreds of young people in Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon since 2005, with the aim of deepening young peoples knowledge about democracy and strengthening youth participation in governance processes.
DESPLAY SEASON 5 OFFERS
- Admission for ONLY 30 young people within Africa (especially West Africa Countries)
- Three semesters of 4 days each in a different state of Nigeria
- 36 knowledge based sessions and focus group discussions
- 3 weeks legislative internship at the national assembly of Nigeria , Abuja
- 10 days learning visit to an African democracy
- Opportunity to become President of DESPLAY Republic for season 5
- Certificate of participation among other extra curriculum initiatives
ELIGIBILITY
Young people from Nigeria and any other 3 African countries aged between 18 - 30 years.
