The Upsurge of Child Abuse

One thing which is gradually gaining notoriety in our societies is the spate of child abuse. Child abuse simply means the state where a child is being denied of his/her rights and parental care and is made to fend for himself/herself.

Some causes of child abuse include broken homes and poverty. Most parents, especially in the rural areas, are unable to sustain their families due to lack of jobs and lack of money. This leads to broken homes and extreme poverty. The children therefore lack basic, educational and health care needs,

Child abuse also leads to illiteracy since the children are denied the right of going to school. It also leads to teenage pregnancy, where the girls end up in the hands of men who sleep with them in order to gain some money to cater for their family .Also child abuse can lead to the attraction of STDs.

The issue of Child abuse is becoming more and more since people have lack or no concern about its hazards and are paying little or completely no attention to it. It is really heart-breaking to see these little ones selling on streets as street hawkers in order to gain some money. This affects them in many ways especially their health

Rescue Aid Foundation (http://raf.kabissa.org) is a non-profit organization which seeks to provide basic, educational and health care needs for people in these rural areas, hence helping to check the recent case of child abuse.

Reaching out to people, especially children, in rural areas to provide them with the necessary needs such as the basic, educational and health care needs is the main priority of Rescue Aid Foundation. Through this reach out course, these needs of child abuse victims are met and they would not have to struggle to live.
