Zack Tucker Gagnes, the Seattle film student who is scheduled to film a Kabissa Meetup on Sept 23 in Kumasi, Ghana, is also visiting Morocco. We are very pleased about this development, since it means that through him we are able to catch up with organisations we worked with in Rabat and Marrakesh in 2005. He will visit and film Tanmia in Rabat, the organisation in Rabat that Kabissa partnered with to carry out a series of Time To Get Online training workshops and to localise our Time To Get Online manual into French and Arabic (available at http://wiki.kabissa.org). He will then travel on to Marrakesh to meet up with organisations that participated in the trainings and ran their own end-user training workshops based on our curriculum.

We are all very much looking forward to learning through Zack's film how the Moroccan "Venez Sur Internet" program evolved after we left, the impact their contact with us had on them, and what the participating organisations are doing today. It will be interesting to learn about Tanmia's evolution and impact as an online portal and IT support organisation for Moroccan associations.

We would very much like to welcome Moroccan associations that want to join the Kabissa network, which they might now find to be beneficial now that we have relaunched our website - even though we do not yet support French (or Arabic).

For more information about Tanmia and the Time To Get Online trainings we collaborated on in 2005, look at the Tanmia website at http://www.tanmia.ma  (almost excusively in French and Arabic), and also the following news items from the Kabissa site archives:

Zack's plans for Morocco are coming together nicely. He will be in Rabat this Thursday to visit Tanmia, and in Marrakesh Friday-Sunday to visit some of our former "Venez Sur Internet" workshop participants and interview them.

Let us know if you have any questions you'd like him to ask or suggestions on things to do and visit while in Morocco.

Cheers,

Tobias
