New Resources for the legitimacy, transparency and accountability of civil society organisations

CIVICUS has recently developed several initiatives to equip CSOs to improve the legitimacy, accountability and transparency (LTA) in their organisations and networks.



From Principles to Practice

These guidelines are a resource for CSOs on how to approach and go LTA in their respective organisations; it is not so much about what LTA is (there is plenty written about that) but rather on what to do with those principles and how they work in a CSO irrespective of its size, location and role. The guidelines are practical and full of tips, stories and comments.

LTA Resource Centre

This new online Resource Centre will help you move from LTA principles to LTA in practice. It provides information on a range of organisations, initiatives and activities throughout the world seeking to increase trust and credibility. It contains:

• the latest research by experts
• toolkits already used by civil society organisations
• case studies by people who have addressed LTA challenges in their organisation
