New interactive features on Kabissa 2.0

Visitors to the Kabissa 2.0 site may have noticed small changes happening here and there. We are indeed continuing to improve and "tweak" the site features in response to feedback from visitors and members - keep it coming! I thought it might be particularly useful to point out the nifty interactive features.

Click on the screenshot to view explanations overlaid as notes on a flickr image, or read on. Let us know what you think!  

  • TAGS
    When people add blog posts or other information to the Kabissa 2.0 site, they can categorize it using tags. You can click BLOGGING here for example to read all posts about blogging, or KENYA to read all posts about Kenya. This is a great way to browse the site.
  • PHOTOS
    Sokari's photo adds a human touch to her posts. She and all Kabissa members can add their photo or other image to their user account. Here's how: After logging in, click MY ACCOUNT to access your personal profile page, then EDIT to edit your profile. Scroll down to upload your picture!
  • SOCIAL BOOKMARKING
    Click the SHARE link and a popup window will let you share this post with others through social bookmarking sites like Muti or Digg etc. You can also email the post to a friend or copy the direct URL to use on your blog. Feel free to share! 
  • RATE POSTS
    All Kabissa 2.0 blog readers can rate all blog posts on a scale of 1 to 5. When you add a comment, you can display your personal rating of the post so others can see how you feel about it. 
  • ALL POSTS BY AUTHOR
    Link to a feed of Sokari's posts to the site, in reverse chronological order.
  • COMMENTS
    Readers can add comments to blog posts on the site. This is a great way to engage with other likeminded people about topics you feel strongly about. 
  • FLAG
    Click this link to notify the Kabissa team of blog posts that you think are inappropriate and may need to be removed.
