Adewukwaa is a small village situated in the Central Region of Ghana. Its a farming community with about a thousand (1000) inhabitant. They are located on the great RIVER AYENSU, one of Ghana's famous rivers. Their main farm productions are, sugar cane, tomatoes, pepper and potatoes.

The women constitute most of the population there. They are about 450 women (both children, youths and old) there and all they do is to join their husband's for farming activities. We got there about 1:17 noon though we were told its a 30minutes drive from Tema, where we are located, traffic caught us up and delayed us for more than one hour. The TV3's (One of Ghana's most viewed television station) central regional representative were waiting for us with his camera man. We met with the chief's and people of Adewukwaa and broke the good news to them.

That, we are following on a tv news on TV3 on a said date where they reported about the urgent need of water there. The story touched our hearts and very luckily we had a four member team from Hydro-Missions in the USA who are coming down in February to hit the grounds for a bore hole project as an immediate solution to their problem. We also told them that Hydro-Missions was going to teach the women soap making which will serve as an income for interested women.

The two chief's received the good news with applauds whilst the tv station was covering it. Myself and the project coordinator will return there in no time for a final assessment.

Yours Faithfully,
