Karina Brisby of Blog Action Day to speak at Africa Roundtable on 5 October, 2012

Funke, Kabissa's member content editor, wrote recently about Kabissa's partnership with Blog Action Day again this year, which we hope many Kabissa members will take advantage of to tell stories to a large global audience about the important work you are doing in your communities. We are very enthusiastic supporters of Blog Action Day so are excited that Karina Brisby from the Blog Action Day team has agreed to join the Africa Roundtable next week, on October 5, to discuss the initiative with participants (details below). Karina joins Laurance Price, a filmmaker who will be speaking about his documentary film about poverty and development in Tanzania.

Karina Brisby and Blog Action Day

Blog Action Day is an annual event that brings together 1000s of bloggers from different walks of life, countries and perspectives to focus on one important global topic for one day. On October 15, 2012 thousands of bloggers, vloggers, podcasters, photographers, graphic designers, data specialists will share their thoughts on the "Power of We". Our topic the Power of We is a celebration of the positive change that people can have when they worked together, from changes in your local town to global movements, people working together can be a powerful force for good. We encourage everyone to get involved and I will be talking to you about why we organise the event and how being involved can benefit your organisation or network.
