For those members and readers in Nairobi, a reminder that Bar Camp Kenya takes place a week Saturday on the 21st June from 10-5pm. The atmosphere is informal with the opportunity to discuss any tech issue you might have in a hands on workshop environment.
Firstbyte post on PC manufacturers, ACER announcement that they will be focusing on linux-based PCs and laptops is more welcome news for African CSO as more and more PC manufacturers move away from the proprietary software such as Microsoft which has dominated the market but is fast loosing out to open source and web based software solutions.
Finally I have set up a PageCast of techology blogs and websites for Kabissa and also a general technology PageCast. Both Pagescasts have RSS feeds and are ongoing projects. If you know of any sites that should be added please email me on community at kabissa dot org
