If you recall, last month I shared a post from OneWorld US to help choose the "OneWorld Person of 2008". Well, the results are in and while the OneWorld community did not choose an African, they DID choose a social entrepreneur who is devoted to helping Africans "move themselves out of poverty". Now they are asking the community to engage in a dialogue with the winner. Post Your Questions to Social Entrepreneur Martin Fisher. (Pamela Adoyo, who works on HIV/AIDS in Kenya, came in a close second. Congratulations!)
OneWorlders have chosen social entrepreneur Martin Fisher as their Person of 2008. Now's your chance to really get to know this incredible person and the work he's doing to help thousands of families move themselves out of poverty across Africa.Martin and his company KickStart have designed innovative products that generate $81 million of new income each year for farmers in some of the poorest countries of the world. Over 350,000 people have moved out of poverty thanks to the products they've bought from KickStart.
Martin and his team are ready to answer your questions about life and livelihoods in Africa, and his company's innovative approach to ending poverty. Click here to post your questions -- or comments -- to Martin by Jan. 9. (If the link above doesn't work for you, paste this URL into your browser: http://oneworldus.civiblog.

All the best,
