Africa Free Zone Association (AFZA) and Tanzania Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) in collaboration with the World Bank cordially invite you to the second AFZA Convention to be held at Movenpick Royal Palm Hotel in Dar es Salaam Tanzania from the 23rd to 25th March 2011.
The Theme of the Convention will be “The Role of African Free Zones in Achieving Millennium Development Goals in Africa”
The Free Zones Association takes onboard all types of Investment Promotion schemes such as Export Processing Zones (EPZs), Special Economic Zones (SEZs), Free Trade Zones (FTZs), Industrial Development Zones (IDZs), Free Ports (FPs), Industrial Parks (IPs) and other related schemes.
Participants of the Convention will be Free Zones stakeholder organizations in Africa including senior leadership of the Free Zones Authorities, Officials from Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies supervising Free Zones, Free Zones Developers and Free Zones Operators/Enterprises, as well as experts from Europe, Asia and America
The AFZA Convention 2011 will allow participants to:
- Share knowledge and experiences on Free Zones Management, Planning and Development practices.
- Refocus Free Zones operations to achieve Millennium Development Goals in Africa.
- Understand market opportunities provided under intra-Africa trade.
- Learn best practices from experienced Free Zones operators.
- Network with Free Zones Developers and Operators from Africa and the rest of the World.
The Convention will discuss Free Zones/SEZs operational and policy issues and will allow participants to learn more about Free Zones/SEZs growth in Africa, opportunities, challenges and possible solutions in doing Free Zones related business.

The participation fee is US$ 300 per participant. An organization is free to register more than one participant.
