Population Action Internation (PAI) is excited to provide a small grants program dedicated to supporting and empowering young people to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).  PAI will support organizations and networks in the three following countries: Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania.  Young people are often at a great disadvantage, especially when it comes to accessing accurate, timely information about their reproductive health needs.  Thus, PAI seeks to provide dedicated resources for advocacy to support young people in developing appropriate strategies for increasing resources and attention for sexual and reproductive health and rights. Deadline for applications: January 20, 2010. Read more at awid.org.

Following your recent publicity about your grant to support sexual reproduction and health right awareness in the three member regions, its RAF's delight to approach you and share our suggestion to you.

Though we are in Ghana, our work extends to all rural African regions. We have a keen interest in health sector and if you can only allow us to apply for a substancial grant, we will be willing to send a small team of health experts to Rwanda and Tanzania and partner with the local health sectors in these two countries to reach out to the rural areas with this awareness.

Please, revert this mail if this suits your project. Thanks

Yours Faithfully,

Hi Koffi,

Thanks for your generous and thoughtful offer to collaborate with AWID (Association for Women's Rights in Development). Note that Liz posted this on her own because she thought the AWID announcement was relevant to kabissa members - but she does not represent AWID.

You can contact them directly via their website at http://www.awid.org

It would be great if you could post some more information on Kabissa about your health initiatives, which I think will be of interest to many working in the health field in Africa.

Warm regards,

Tobias
