CABCIG is the group Cameroon Anti – Bullying Common Initiative Group; CABCIG.
The group was formed on the 8th September 2007 and was officially registered on14th February 2009 with registration certificate No. NW/GP/038/09/12373. CABCIG has the intention to campaign against bullying all over the country but to start with the North West and specifically Ngoketunjia Division.
Ngoketunjia Division is one of the seven Divisions of the North West Region of the Republic of Cameroon. It is located in the north east of the North West Region, sharing boundaries with the Western Region in the south and east, with Boyo and Bui Divisions in the North, with Mezam Division in the West.
It is made up of 13 villages, grouped up in three sub divisions; namely Balikumbat, Ndop Central and Babessi.
Ngoketunjia Division has a population of 80000 inhabitants mostly farmers with 34 secondary grammar and technical schools spreading in all the 13 villages and carrying a student population of 20193 students and a total staff population of 700 teachers.
It is characterised by two seasons; the dry season and the rainy season and covered by savannah vegetation
This project in Ngoketunjia Division is to reach out to the 20193 students’ population and 700 teachers through Radio and TV Programmes, Visit to Schools, organise seminars and workshops, make Video CD Coverage that can be used by schools, to make handouts for schools and to create a help line; all these sensitising on anti –bullying.
