I'm pleased to report that WebAccess has been doing a terrific job upgrading our Organization Directory feature, and that we are almost ready to launch the new site. Please contact me if you are interested in a preview and helping look for bugs during this final round of fixes. Thanks!
The upgrade has cosmetic improvements, fixes numerous bugs, and improves the functioning of the Organization Directory signup form, listings and profile management. It also lays the way for starting to build Kabissa Connections, a new project we are considering based on the Organization Directory. The idea behind Kabissa Connections, which last week won the Netsquared FACT Social Justice Challenge, is to help Kabissa members build the reputation and trust of their organizations by revealing relationships online. We welcome partnership so let us know if you want to help us design and build it!
The Kabissa Organization Directory is powered by the free software platform @CiviCRM which you might also want to look at for your own organization's membership management needs. From the CiviCRM website:
CiviCRM is a free, libre and open source software constituent relationship management solution. CiviCRM is web-based, internationalized, and designed specifically to meet the needs of advocacy, non-profit and non-governmental groups. Integration with both Drupal and Joomla! content management systems gives you the tools to connect, communicate and activate your supporters and constituents.

Thank you everyone who has agreed to help testing the Kabissa site upgrade. We appreciate it! The more bugs we can fix now the better! :)
Here's how it works:
1. Email me via the volunteering contact form to ask for the URL to our testing site
2. Log into testing site using your usual account or create new ones for testing
Tip: If you use gmail you can use name+test1@gmail.com name+test2@gmail.com to use the same mailbox for testing multiple user accounts. (the part before the plus is your usual gmail account, the part after can be anything you like)
3. Test the site and send me your report via the volunteering contact form or email
Functions to test:
When you report what you think are problems, please try to be as descriptive as possible and provide screen shots.
Separate what you think are bugs that need fixing right now from feedback for improvements that we might consider for future upgrades.
4. Questions? Contact me via the volunteering contact form or email anytime
You can also contact me via @kabissa on twitter
Thanks! :)
