SAFETY GUIDE NEWS NOW IN CIRCULATION

Accident Prevention and Rescue initiative, a Non-Governmental Organization focused in the promotion of road safety efforts in Nigeria is publishing Safety Guide News, a News Paper aimed at informing, educating, reporting and circulating news of events and activities on road safety and human development.

The newspaper is circulated to all commands of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Road Traffic Officers and stakeholders in the road transport sector; it is also sold by vendors in the Capital City of Abuja Nigeria.

APRI JOINS DRTS TO REGULATE THE DEALERSHIP OF SPARE PARTS IN FCT

The Directorate of Road Traffic Services, Transport Secretariat, Federal Capital Territory Abuja Nigeria has commenced the registration and licensing of Spare Parts Dealers such as Motor Vehicles, Motor Cycle, Tricycle, Earthmoving Equipment, Generators, and allied motorized products in the Federal Capital Territory. The scheme is under section 26, Speciaal Trade License of FCT Road Transport Regulation 2005.

The objective of the scheme is to curtail the distribution and sales of fake and substandard products in the Federal Capital Territory.

ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IN NIGERIA

The way in which deaths caused by road accidents are treated in Nigeria, confirms that the government has no regard for human lives. It is disturbing that to know that human lives are treated purely as ‘statistics’.
