Gavin Clabaugh posted the following very handy tip to the NTEN-Discuss mailing list recently, generating some very useful information sharing about several web publishing tools - some free open source, some given away, and some available at low cost. If you have ever wanted to create a snapshot of your screen or even create a video presentation using your computer, then you should definitely read on. You will be surprised at how easy and inexpensive it can be.

2. UNDER THE BAOBAB TREE: Announcements from Kabissa Members
- Ungana Afrika: Mobile Technologies Capacity Building Program Ungana-Afrika, a Kabissa member based in South Africa, has started implementing the first phase of its capacity building program focusing on mobile technologies, that will aim at supporting different stakeholders to utilise mobile technologies in their development programs. During the first part of 2007, a short research study and a high-level program concept will be implemented.

- Kabissa Memeber Survey Coming Soon! The 2007 Kabissa Member Survey will be launched soon! Look for an e-mail in the coming weeks with instructions on how to participate. Last year's survey was a big success and we hope to hear from even more members this year. Help us improve our services by participating in the survey. - Kabissa Welcomes Five New Interns In January, five new interns joined the Kabissa team, so don't be surprised if you see a few new names in emails from us - Vicki Aken as Online Community Coordinator, Ryan Cargo as Special Projects Intern, Natalie McIntyre as Development Intern, Chris Perry as Online Community Coordinator, and Vicrum Puri as Member Relations/ Development Intern. They all bring a lot of enthusiasm and experience to Kabissa, which will surely be evident in our projects over the next few months.

PolDeC is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental development organisation committed to promoting appropriate development. We do this through advocacy of effective and implementable policies and initiatives.
