1. DEAR MIMI: "Why doesn't my Web site show up on Google?"

Have a Web site? Here is an assignment for you. Go to http://www.google.com and type in the name of your organization. Then click "I'm Feeling Lucky". You should immediately arrive at your Web site homepage. If not, you had better read on. Mimi has some important information for you!

Millions of people are going online every day and usually start their information searches at a so-called "Search Engine" Web site such as Google or Yahoo. You put a lot of effort into creating and maintaining a Web site for your organization - understanding how Search Engines work will empower you to guide them to your Web site. It will also take a little of the mystery out of the Internet and put you in the driver's seat - whether you are the one looking for information or sharing your own.

4. MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: ONA Network

ONA Network is a non-governmental, non-for-profit trust registered by the government of the United Republic of Tanzania. It was founded by its current executive director, Mr. Frank Magupa, in 1998. Since then, ONA Network has continued to further its prime objective of facilitating, promoting and improving visual and eye health in Tanzania.

Kabissa matches perfectly with our organization -- quite literally, in fact. In kiswahili, ONA means "see" or "vision." Kabissa, as many may already know, means "complete" in kiswahili. Together, ONA and Kabissa hope to provide "complete vision" to Africans through ona.kabissa.org.
